Hi Riddhi, tell us a bit about yourself!
Hello! I am Riddhi Ramrakhiani, born and brought up in Mumbai in India but in love with Stockholm since two and a half years now. I’m married and have a seven year old son who helps me pick up my Swedish I enjoy cooking, reading fiction, watching Netflix and play badminton.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. I have been a software developer for about 8 years now. I also had a small stint at teaching while I was on sabbatical after my son was born.
What are you doing at Tacton?
At Tacton, I’m a software developer who deals with many parts of the software development process. Just to describe a few:
1. Talk to clients to get what their software needs are. This happens by understanding their business and finding a technical solution for it.
2. Designing the solution
3. Implementing the solution
4. Testing the solution
In this process, there are enormous opportunities to learn more about the business processes of our clients and let technology help them achieve their goals.
When did you know that you wanted to work with programming?
For me it was when I was in the last years of schooling. I wasn’t aware of what programming was about. But I was intrigued by computers, internet and everything around them. My experience with programming wasn’t until I started my bachelors course. I took me couple of months to get a hang of it. But then it was only more exciting every time to write code for assignments and projects. It’s so much fun to make life easier with technology!
What’s exciting working for a company like Tacton?
There are so many things! There are so much great colleagues who are engaged and talented, it’s fun to work here! We are working with excellent products and great technologies. Tacton also have a clear vision and excellent game plan towards it’s growth, it’s very nice to know that you are a part of it and know what you are working for.
What do you want to do next?
The world of programming is more than just writing code. Cloud technologies is what I am currently putting myself to learn.
Do you have any advice for people interested in starting programming?
Just one: what are you waiting for? Just go for it! The possibilities are endless, programming is so much more than just writing code ☝️ If you love to challenge yourself and keep yourself evolving then this is all that is needed.
